Summary of the first edition of the "Precious Health" Program
The completion of the first stage of examinations carried out under the "Precious Health" Program took place on 19th September in Warsaw. The Mobile Hearing Center and the Mobile Medical Center have parked at the buildings of Polish Television and Polish Radio. Inhabitants could seek advice of doctors: otolaryngologists, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, periodontists and dermatologists. In total, over a thousand tests and consultations were given and conducted. Millions of radio listeners and television viewers following the "live" footage from the medical camp were reminded that it was worth taking care of their health.
About hearing screening tests at the Polish Press Agency
On 27th September 2017, a press conference entitled "20 Years - from Pilot Studies to Common Screening in the Early Detection of Hearing Disorders” was held at the Polish Press Agency in Warsaw. The conference agenda included among others results of hearing screening tests carried out in cooperation with the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) and presentation of the new program assumptions, which will cover the entire population of children starting school education of the Mazovian Region as the first in the world. Prof. Henryk Skarżyński - the originator of screening tests of children's hearing in Poland opened the conference. The conference was also attended by Janina Pszczółkowska, Deputy President of KRUS, Associate Prof. Krzysztof Kochanek, Screening Program Coordinator and Elżbieta Szymanik, Deputy Director of the European Social Fund, Mazovian Unit for Implementation of EU Programs. The meeting was moderated by Jadwiga Kamińska, President of the Press Health Promotion Club. The conference gathered nearly 40 journalists.
